2020 - New Year Share....
Aloha! A share from Denise of some heartfelt moments. After a day filled with tears and nostalgia, Denise felt it was time to open up about something really special: her beloved Star Light Crystal and Wellness boutique. You know, that place that’s not just a shop but a community where yearly, 1000's of customers and clients from all over the world have become friends? It's a little piece of her heart she really misses, especially since it’s tied to the beautiful Hawaiian Island and its rich culture that she and her daughter adore.
Denise and her daughter spent two enriching decades on the Big Island of Hawaii, immersing themselves in the vibrant 'local' community of North Kohala and Waimea. In 2007, Denise purchased and re-launched Star Light, a crystal wellness boutique that became a beacon for thousands worldwide yearly and who returned year after year seeking healing and clarity visiting Star Light & Denise. When visitors entered or were "called" to come into this space of light filled crystals, from all over the world they would instantly comment how serene and peaceful they felt. Most visitors did not have a background in the inherent energy within crystal knowledge or were not aware of wholistic healing modalities. It was a joy to be that bridge and reaffirm what Nikola Tesla famous quote, "If you want to find the secret or the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."
Unexpected Disruption....
However, in 2019, an unforeseen adversary, took over the cigar shop next to Denise's Star Light Hawaii Crystal & Wellness boutique and disrupted this sanctuary, with the intent to take over Denise's shop leading to an exhausting
15-month battle for her lease, when the landlord sold out; ultimately resulting in the loss of her cherished business and then the landlord evicted this thug tenant out 6 months later!
Although heartbreaking and financially devastating, this turning point revealed a blessing in disguise, redirecting Denise toward her continued and more concentrated calling as a healer, intuitive and wholistic wellness coach, visionary, and teacher being "guided" to develop a very expansive "enlightenment vision" she had when she was 24, with a "guidance" dream after the closing of Star Light; Denise saw a literal sign in this dream, that read "Find the Land." With the heart felt support of donations and sponsorship from clients/friends, she has been refining and developing the concepts, written into a summary brochure of Phase 1 & 2, with the plan to receive from a pre-destined benefactor, financial funding to co-create this "Enlightenment Sanctuary & Campus Enterprise."
Denise has this amazing trust in the divine universe and believes that everything happens for a reason according to ones soul blueprint agreements. no matter how difficult the challenge may be. After moving off island with 7 suitcases, their beloved cat and pup while at the beginning of all the craziness of the world wide covid shutdowns; Denise intuitively knew it was time to dive into her visions that started back when she was in her 20s and 30s. And you know what? A new chapter started to emerge!
Phase one, Denise, her daughter, and their fur babies settled in Durango, Colorado, but this journey is just getting started... Fast forward to July 4, 2022, when Denise landed in Virginia—another twist in her cosmic adventure! She felt this pull and "calling" toward Virginia while at the beginning of re-building her wellness practice in Durango, and the universe kept dropping hints with those Virginia license plates that were popping up everywhere. It was like a sign saying, "Go for it!" So, she embraced her inner pioneer woman, packed up a trailer hitched to her Blue Toyota Camry, and set off with her furry companion, Jazzy. She arrived in Waynesboro, Virgina to the warm welcome of friends of the past and new and things just started clicking. And guess what? Denise opened her creative and zen- spiritually designed, charming wellness studio in Greenwood. She then, started offering her wellness and healing services at the Boar's Head Resort Spa and Sports Club for eight months. And is currently offering her Wholistic Wellness Services at Farmington Country Club, through the Tennis Club, October 2024.
She’s fallen in love with Virginia all over again, as Denise was born and lived her first three years in Fairfax Virginia and then again with husband number one in 1996 (currently divorced after two out grown "karmic" marriages, trusting, after five dreams that started coming to her 20 years ago of her "true love".... lol that the future #3 will be the ;) charm) and Denise loves exploring all the amazing communities around her.
Looking ahead, after a recent return to Hawaii, summer 2024, it was time for Denise and her daughter to go through all they had to leave behind in storage at her "Aunty & Uncles" homestead on the heels of a fast exodus from Hawaii in 2020, with only 7 suitcases. This trip offered a final heart healing and re-imagining her heart felt connection to Hawaii. Denise imagines in the future hosting yearly retreats on the Big Island of Hawaii, sharing the Aloha essence and spiritual energy with others. A piece in this divine blueprint plan that is unfolding.
